Why the RX3004?
AT & T announced that it will soon stop 3G activations and reject 3G in the US in 2021, which causes the need for a station with 4G capacity.
However, the RX3004 will return to 3G and even 2G in countries where these cellular technologies are the most effective or the only ones available.

What's new?
• The RX3004 no longer has an external antenna
• Micro SIM (instead of standard SIM): for users who supply their own SIM cards
• Regarding HOBOlink 11.1
   o Provide support for RX3004
   o Minor improvements in usability.
o Plotting Acumulate Rain in lines, bars and area graphs (there is still no ET cut)
   o Error correction

Data plans
A new set of data plans is required to support the 4G service
• Better data rates at lower prices in standard plans.
For example, the limited 3G plan with 4-hour connections, the new 4G basic plan now allows 1-hour connections.
• We added a MAX plan for larger HOBOnet systems.
• You can find the new plans here.
• We will continue supporting the renewals of existing 3G plans. The new RX3004 station requires a new 4G plan.

Can I upgrade my current RX3003 to 4G?
At this time, the only option to get 4G communications is to buy a new station. All sensors and modules will continue to work with your 4G option.

How long will my 3G RX3000 work?
It depends on the cellular providers in each country. It is best to check with your local cell phone provider about your plans to continue with 3G support.

Flexible

With the RX3000 Station, you can configure up to 15 channels of plug-and-play Smart Sensors, or add up to two modules. Modules are available for connecting up to 4 analog sensors or with 3 relay outputs to control devices based on alarm conditions.

Field-Proven

The HOBO RX3000 features a double-weatherproof enclosure designed for long-term use – even in harsh environments. Critical electronics are sealed in a secondary enclosure, and weathertight sensor ports keep moisture out.

Plug-and-Play

Simply plug in up to 10 of our plug-and-play Smart Sensors and the RX3000 Station will recognize them and begin taking measurements. No need for programming or complicated wiring!
