The Sensor measures: Solar Light Radiation W/m2
Output Signal: mV
Cable Length: 5 meters
Power Supply: Does not require
Sensor for use in: Outdoor

The sensor incorporates a silicon-cell photodiode with a rugged, self-cleaning sensor housing design, and high-quality cable terminating in pre-tinned pigtail leads for easy connection to dataloggers and controllers.

Typical applications include shortwave radiation measurement in agricultural, ecological, and hydrological weather networks.

Sensors are also used to optimize photovoltaic systems.
Sensor includes IP68 marine-grade stainless-steel cable connector 30 cm from head to simplify sensor removal and replacement for maintenance and recalibration.

Wiring the SP-110 Sensor

Attach the sensor to a meter or datalogger capable of displaying or recording a mV output.

In 'Connector Options', you can choose to have the sensor with a connector for a HOBO Data Logger.

The model, serial number, production date, and conversion factor are located on the sensor cable.

The SP-110 pyranometer a is self-powered, unamplified pyranometer.
For Amplified Models, see:

Mounting the Pyranometer
Mount the pyranometer sensor to a solid surface with the nylon mounting bolt. The sensor should be mounted level for the most accurate measurements. We recommend using our leveling plate AL-100 (see accessories).

The pyranometer sensor should be mounted with the cable pointing toward true north in the northern hemisphere or true south in the southern hemisphere to minimize azimuth error. The azimuth error is typically less than 1%.
