Parameters Measured Gas Exchange States

    - Measurement of gas exchange states in gaseous and liquid samples
    - Long-term measurements of various gases and volatile species by a single device
    - Membrane-based inlet or needle valve inlet for atmospheric measurements and / or special gas and liquid applications
    - Accurate, sensitive and fast measurements
    - Compact design with modular inlet structures and multiple interface options for gas exchange analysis at the entire plant level or in cell suspensions
    - Highly efficient removal of water molecules by the water collector from the Stirling cooler for significantly increasing the life of the ion source
    - User-friendly software interface

Mass analyses of volatiles are determined using mass spectrometer of Prisma product line based on open ion source with electron impact, two independent filaments and single quadrupole mass analyzer with variable mass ranges of 1-100 (MS GAS-100), 1-200 (MS GAS-200) and 1-300 amu (MS GAS-300).

Two types of detectors are available for system; Farraday with sensitivity lower than 10 ppm and Continuous secondary electron multiplier (C-SEM) with sensitivity lower than 100 ppb.
A Highly effective vacuum pumping system is presented by the combination of a diaphragm backing pump MVP and a turbomolecular pump HiPace SplitFlow.
A Thermostat heating element performs vacuum chamber baking for cleanup from undesirable impurities inside of mass spectrometer. An Electronically controlled Stirling cooler ensures highly efficient suppression of water molecules background and significantly enhances ion source lifetime.
Moreover, the temperature of the water trap can be defined by the user, which enables to monitor special volatile species.
The Modular inlet options includes permeable membrane probe, needle inlet and gas dosing valve (manual).
The Membrane probe inlet allows small levels of the dissolved species to pass through it, this type of inlet is suitable for liquid samples as well as for analysis in gaseous environments.
The Needle valve inlet is designed for direct measurements of volatiles in gaseous samples.
The basic version MS GAS-100 is equiped with high vacuum pressure sensor to determine the total pressure in the vacuum chamber and with an inlet pressure sensor to ensure the mass spectrometer protection.

Intuitive setting of the device is available via an integrated touchscreen including manual mode with possibilities to change temperature of the heating/cooling system and to open/close the inlet valve, split-flow and safety valve.
The original firmware is also enriched with automatic functions for valve opening/closing based on signal from safety pressure sensors after device turn on.
The Mass spectrometer tuning and acquisition of measured data are performed by software "Quadera" (models with PrismaPlus RGA) and PV Mass Spec (models with PrismaPro RGA).
Both softwares permets user-defined protocol writing for numerous determinations of desired analytes.
