SONO-GS1 Moisture Probe for Heterogeneous Bulk Solids
The SONO-GS1 moisture probe, available in aluminum or stainless steel with a PEEK window, uses a TRIME TDR transducer to accurately measure moisture and conductivity in heterogeneous bulk solids.
Dependent on the model, the SONO-GS1 moisture probe consists of an aluminum or stainless steel housing with a PEEK window in each case. The integrated TRIME TDR transducer organizes a resolution of one picosecond and reliably determines moisture and conductivity.
Application
With the relatively large probe dimensions and the above average measuring field, SONO-GS1 is perfectly suited for heterogeneous bulk solids like woodchips, pellets, pasta products, and similar materials.
The moisture probe is built into containers, material funnels, or screw conveyors. Ideally, the probe is used in screw conveyors as there the material density is relatively constant.
Advantages
- The large measuring field of five liters volume ensures a representative and precise measurement even of rough inhomogeneous materials.
- Up to 15 different material calibration curves can be saved in the probe.
- The probe configuration for different applications is self-explanatory and simple.
- Signal processing and evaluation with intelligent filter algorithms are integrated into the probe, eliminating the need for additional evaluation units.
- Thanks to radar technology and the disc-shaped radar scanning, the measurement is highly reliable.
