MU-250 Handheld Meter with Separate UV-A Sensor (300 to 400 nm)

MU-250

Apogee Instruments

New

The MU-250 has a hand-held meter, attached via cable, that displays and stores sensor measurements.
The sensor detects UV radiation from 300 to 400 nm.
Typical applications include monitoring the filtering ability and stability of various materials, measuring UV-A radiation in outdoor environments and laboratory use, and monitoring UV radiation in horticultural operations environments.

The Sensor measures: UV Ultra Violet Radiation
Cable Length: 2m
Sensors Accessories: Mounting Shelf

The meter has a sample and log mode, and will record an average daily value. Sample mode will record up to 99 manual measurements. Log mode will power the meter on/off to make a measurement every 30 seconds. Every 30 minutes the meter will average the sixty 30 second measurements and record the averaged value to memory. The meter can store up to 99 averages, once full it will start to overwrite the oldest measurement with new ones. An average daily value will be recorded from the 48 averaged measurements (making a 24 hr period). Sample and log measurements can be reviewed on the LCD display or by downloading the data to a computer, however, the average daily value can only be viewed by downloading the data to a computer. Downloading data to a computer requires the AC-100 communication cable (a standard USB cable will not work) and ApogeeAMS software. Comes with a free protective carrying case.

Apogee UV sensors incorporate a photodiode that measures the combined UVA and UVB radiation.

The MU-250 has a separate sensor, while the hand meter displays and stores measurements.

The meter offers the configuration to measure UV in μmol m-2 s-1 or Watts m-2.

The sensor housing design features a fully dome-shaped head that makes the sensor completely weatherproof and self-cleaning.
